Hen Party !

What do you do with your girlfriends when you have a Hen Party ?

When my girlfriends and I usually get together, each of us brings a dish or two. 

Sit around and talk about men, experiences, children and what we want for our future.

Why don't we have a Hen Party this coming friday the 11th,  and see what each of us can bring to the party. 

Show me what you'll bring and will all get together and talk trash.

Finished Product

I finished the Birdcage and the Cage stand. I put a plant in it for now. I might change my mind later to put something else in it. At least it being by the window, the plant will get plenty of light. The stand was rusty and I just brushed it off really good with a metal brush and sprayed primer on it first, then followed it up with white gloss spray paint. Both by Rust-Oleum. 

The cage was a dark grayish green. It too was sprayed with Rust-Oleum gloss white.

I hope everyones 4th was safe and fun. 

Just a quite evening with girls with the exception of a few firecrackers.

Happy Fourth of July !!

This is the reason we celebrate Independence Day. I hope we never forget why we do celebrate.

We live in a country that gives us freedom. WE THE PEOPLE have a voice.

Vignette and Bird Cage Stand

I re-arranged my coffee table. I used some of my recent purchased to pull it together.
The is the base of the Bird Cage Stand, (sorry it's a little blurry).
And the top. I've already primed it to paint it white. I have a small birdcage that I'll hang on it. Still thinking about what to put in the cage once it's all finished. 

This Is Huge ! and Babies New Crib

These Hydrangeas grow across the street from me. I picked some, and put them in my new large water pitcher. I measured them across they are 12 inches. Wow.
The girls cute new dog bed. They aren't sure what to think about it.

Nice Weekend and Nice Finds

     This was a real find. Only $15.00. I will probably use this for fresh flowers.

I had a nice relaxing weekend. Shopping with my friend Nancy. We always get into trouble when we shop together.

Just wanted to add, to all us California Girls. Don't forget, July 1st, the law for handsfree cell phones goes into effect. This means you can not have a phone up to your head while driving. Weekend Break

Freshly Painted Staircase

    I realized I had never shared the pictures of the stairway redo.
As you can tell the before was the renters white, I am not a renter. Why did it take 10 years to paint this. Well I had a lot of things going on in my life. 

My son painted the stairway before he left for Santa Rosa this summer. As you can tell I like the older pictures more of the 1940's. The baby picture isn't me.  I hope I don't wait another 10 years to paint other things. I just need some inspiration.

My Heart Is Complete

Here it is. I finally finish the button heart project. I kept running out of buttons. Who knew it would take so many. I finished it off with a blue ribbon. I'll probably hang it on the inside of my front door.

I've been asked to let everyone know how I made this :

I bought this foam heart from Joanne Fabrics. The buttons from different places, put on with hot glue. The ribbon was not glued on. I pined it so I could change it out if I liked.
