What To Do ?

Well I only went out to get dog food today, and came back with more than that.

These were at my Thrift Shop I frequent. I don't know what exactly I'll use them for. I think they are so pretty. Any suggestions ladies, you are all so talented, I am sure there is something in you minds that I have not thought of.

Hi Glenda,
Very pretty lace. How about just framing them and using velvet fabric as your back round. I love lace. I have a lace book that I read often.
Enjoy your day,
Elizabeth

They are all pretty, and my favorite would be the one in the middle. I agree with Elizabeth frame it and use a background color to go with your other furnishings.

You could always position them on a shelf so the pretty edges hang over. I love that look. Even in your kitchen cupboard - it would be such a pretty look whenever you open it up. Or over your toilet tank with a pretty tray with perfume bottles on it. Can't wait to see what you do!! What a great find!!

Laying them across the pillows gave me the idea that you could incorporate them into a pillow! As like a panel of lace across the center or top! Or attach them to the top and have the lace drape over. Laura at Decor to Adore did something similar with a piece of embroidery. Check it out!

I agree, they would be great on pillows! Very pretty!

They would also be great on Christmas stockings. I've been wanting to make some white linen ones with pretty lace all over them.

Hi Glenda,
I'd hang the three triangle shaped ones on a piece of heavy gauge wire and use metal curtain rod hooks to hold them on the wire. I love lace in the window that way. Good luck, let us know what you decide.

Since I am a pillow maker, I would use them to accent elegant pillows.
Really like the idea of using them draped over a shelf too as suggested.
Cindy, I can see gorgous stockings hanging in your house using similar lace.
Lucky find in a thrift store. I never find anything that good in mine. Guess I have to get out more.

Well I can't think of one thing that someone else hasn't already brought up. But boy they sure are pretty. No matter what you do with them I'm sure it will be beautiful!

Hi Glenda
You could use your lace on really pretty aprons for aspron pockets. If you would want to cut the pieces up use them on cards or altered book covers. I just have a box of old lace I just go through and admire once in a while. Some of it is to pretty to use.
