California The Land of Fires

Francine Orr / Los Angeles Times

Here we go again, with the fires in So, California.

105,000 acres have burned so far. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

They have mandatory evacuations of 6,ooo homes in the areas affected.

I know they are not the only part of the country that are hit by disasters.

So scary! I am fortunate to be in the area where the fires are not a real threat here in the Wine country. Although it was very smoky last summer with the Northern California fires. Relatives of ours in the So. California area had to evacuate last year, but their home was spared. As far as I know they are still safe this year.

I heard this morning on The Today Show that 53 homes have been burned to the ground. Some families returned to see if there was anything salvageable. There was nothing. I cannot imagine. My heart breaks for these people.

Yes, there are disasters all over. Reality can be very harsh unfortunately. God bless us all.
