My Garage Is Full !

As you see my Garage is full. I have brought home the furniture in my parents home here. Now I have projecst to do again. I have the two dark dressers that I want to paint white, one with a mirror.

Then there is the light blond furniture with the art deco handles that is in pretty ruff condition. I don't think I'll be able to put them in my son's room as is. I'll have to replace the fabric on the bench. What the set consist of is, a dresser, bed, dressing table with mirror and bench and  a side table. Now I don't have any idea what to do with blond furniture as far as painting or sanding it down and re-staining. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

I still need to go back over and clean out just the little things here and there, and then that's it, and it's on the market. I know I keep saying that, but I am only one person, doing a two person job. Thanks for listening to my whining yet again.

I love French things, too. I have Eiffel towers everywhere. I don't think the ornate bed is too much. It would be just perfect in the right room with a lot of light. Your blog is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, and one more thing. I just read down and saw your cameo ladies. We have a whole stairwell of old photos in our home. It's so funny when people come over they ask who they are. We don't know. We'd find them along the way at antique stores, estate sales, garage sales, etc. They needed a home! They are our New friends and family.

Hi Glenda,

Your garage is full but you will have some serious fun with your projects.

You'll have to take pics so we can see the changes.

I can't wait to see what you do with all that furniture! That is a lot of work for one person! I'm sure you will be glad when it's all finished and the house is sold!

Oh I think you have done a lot in not a lot of time. It's so hard to clean out a house of our loved ones.

Deciding what to keep and what to toss and what to give away. It's hard.

I'm looking forward to all the projects you have ahead of you.

Hugs,
Joanne

Glenda - everything in your garage looks great! You will have such fun redoing everything. Take your time and enjoy it. When it's done, it's done. Enjoy the journey. Try to look at one thing at a time so you don't get overwhelmed. It's not going anywhere without you, so don't let it get the best of you. You're doing great!!!

I just bought a blonde piece today....how funny. It is for my entry way. I was told to use a certain cleaner called..."Be careful where I drop because I leave white stains"! Just kidding ..it is called TSP. It is a solution that you dilute and then wipe down the furniture so it has no dirt, oil etc. We are taking the lazy way out and do not want to sand or prime. We are using a roller too. Last time I used a brush on a dresser and the results were O.K. but not that great.
Any way I will show pics of mine when it is done....let me know if you have any luck.
I have to say that cleaner works great...only problem is I really do not feel like doing my whole entire tile floors. Now I have a white mark. I should have done it outside LOL
Have a terrific week and please , TAKE A BREAK :)
