Back in October last year I visited my sister Gail, in Albuquerque. We went to several Antique Shops. So many I can't remember.
In one shop she found a quilt top and bottom that had yet to be put together. I mentioned how I liked it and she let me buy it. I left it behind, because she said she would put it together.
She has far more talent than I do in the sewing field and she's been sewing for years.
So, when she asked me if I wanted some pillows she made a few months back, I said sure. So she boxed them up and sent them. What I didn't know is she finished the Quilt. So she sent that as well. I love my sister, she has the talent and the know how to do these things.
She now has a few blogs herself and I encourage you to visit her. One is "Gone Fishin", the other is "For the Love of Old", and "Screen Doors and Sweet Ice Tea". She goes by Maxine on them, it was our mothers name, and her middle name.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, I've been working on the white dresser. The house will go on the Market this Monday, can everyone say FINALLY !!!!
P.S. Since this post my sister now only has the Gone Fishin blog.

Hi Glenda!
The quilt is beautiful! Your sister is so sweet to do that for you!! I'll go over and check out her blogs.
You've sure got a supply of furniture now Glenda! What if you painted the art deco pieces in a satin black or charcoal color. Even the right red would be great. You could always stick with the cream look if you want it to flow with the rest of you house. I'm so glad you have treasures from your parents home.
I'm so glad Mom is in the place she is. They are so wonderful there and I feel like I don't have to worry everyday about her.
Have a great week!
Hugs, Sherry
FINALLY!! okay there I said it...love you too.
Guess now I'll have to send you the ottoman cover I made as well to go with your pillows. Or after the house sells you can come and get it or I'll bring it to you and when we'll buy a case of bubbly and toast passing the house on so others can start their own many fond memories of living in Richmond. There are times I want that old house but time to move past and move on. We own our memories and no one can take them from us...well unless we get a lobotomy and fly over the coo coo's nest. Ya'll come see me hear?
Wow Glenda, the pillows and quilt look so cozy - totally nap-inducing. Now I'm going to go and visit your sister's blogs. :o)
What a nice sister you have, Glenda. Gee I wish I had a sister that sews or a sister for that fact.
The picture of your parents on your sidebar is a lovely tribute to them. Nice picture too!

Hi Glenda,
The guilt and pillows are very pretty and you do have a sweet sister :)
Hurray...all your hard work is done, now a quick sale would be in order..Now for "you" time :)
Warmly, Deb
There's more on the way and lets not forget Glenda's body turns 52 next month. Yes her body may be 52 but her mind never ages and will stay eternally young. If you didn't know how old you were how old would you think you where? As for me & my own body, it will be 55in Oct but my mind stopped dead in it's tracks about my early 30's and said "lets stay here" We are not our bodies; 99.9 of who were are is invisible. We can all agree it's whats inside that counts and is what will get you through this planet I call the real Hell.
