Family Bible

This was to be the Family Bible. My mother started writing in it, but never finished it for some reason.
These illustration's are simply beautiful.
I can imagine what they look like in person.
And other little treasures. A picture of all the Aunts with the cousins. My mom on the upper left was pregnant with me when this was taken, so in a sense I was in the picture.

And this little pink thing, use to be a either a purse or some type of container, it looked like it had handles at one time.

Dearest Glenda!
I sure hope you were able to get the lawn mowed finally! Heavens, what a terrible mess that was huh? Not one mower, but two??
I love your beautiful family bible, it is the kind you long to read because it is so special! The pages in the old bibles are so thin and pretty too...Hope you enjoy many years of reading it, thinking loving thoughts of your parents, then one day passing it on to your precious son!

I have been keeping busy with the wedding preps, we go tomorrow and get the flowers picked out, I am looking forward to getting that all done and checked off the list!

Take care hope your day is going well,
XO DL

I'm keeping the challenge open so gals like you can send me your photo. I won't keep this post up but I'll certainly show who is sending pictures and crown you with your title. How does the lawn story end?

Love the aprons, makes me want to start a new "collection".

The family bible looks just like the one our family had. I'll have to ask my Mother about that.

Take Care,

Stephanie

Your family Bible is beautiful! I love the fabulous illustrations in old Bibles like that.
The photo is sooo wonderful! I really have a thing for old family photos and that one is awesome. I'm so happy you have such wonderful family treasures to keep and pass on to your children.
