I had these aprons for awhile now, they belonged to my mother. I remember her wearing some of them at holiday time. She was such a pretty woman and I loved to see her get dressed up with her pretty things. I have no idea how long she had these, I am guessing about 30-40 years.
The pretty detail of the embroidery and the use of the thin material. And I love the handkerchiefs, I remember her getting these for a gift from one of her church friends. I sometimes use them as doilies.
Also, I found a Christmas trumpet angel without the trumpet. I still like it, it's as imperfect as I am.

How beautiful! I do not have any aprons, but I do have some old hankies with the edges embroidered I am going to pull them out and post mine also. How wonderful! Thanks for sharing!!
That is so nice that you have those aprons from your mom, they are very nice, what a great reminder you have of her from when she was cooking for your family.
Glenda,
The aprons are very pretty. It is so nice that you've got these pieces of your mothers and remember her wearing them. That's very special.

Hi Glenda,
Here's a smile for you. My boy, age 6 is on my lap and said, "Hey Mom, is that angel blowing spitwads?"

How in the world did I miss this post! Thanks for pointing it out to me. I love them. I just got a few new ones, well old but new to me, from eBay. I just love them.
Something so Donna Reed about them.
