Homes of Santa Rosa, CA

While up in Santa Rosa, Ca this past weekend I wanted to get pictures of the homes in the downtown area. It's and older part of the city.
I took these out of the window of my car, so there not the greatest.
This one is really cute and small. I would love to have a small cottage like this some day.
This one reminds me of a home in a hollywood movie, but can't remember the name if the movie. I have more pictures of these homes but, I'll post those at a later date.

My chair is coming along. I still need to paint it a little more. Not sure of the antiquing though.

Hi Glenda,
So cute - these cottages. I like the second one - looks like it has an indoor porch. I'm with you, I'd love to have something like one of these charmers one day (with a fireplace!).

Happy weekend~

Glenda, thank you for your welcome and I really love the pictures of the cottages. I have always wanted a cottage I could redo without taking any of the charm away.

I wish I would have known you were coming - I would have told you a few streets to check out since I live right around the corner from historic McDonald Ave. Alfred Hitchcock filmed one of his movies in a house on that street. It looks like you were in my neighborhood.

Have a great weekend!!

Hi Glenda!

The karaoke machine is a great idea! My daughter has one in her room so I will move it to the room they will be sleeping in! Thanks for the tip! :) Will be back when this weekend is over to get a better look at your kitchen and can't wait to see how your chair turns out. I love those type of projects too! :) Many thanks! ~ Laurie

Hi Glenda..
Hope you have a lovely weekend too.
I got Sophee-a from a local breeder also.
I need too add you to my side bar tonight. I love browsing your blog :) I bet your chair is looking fantastic. I will check back when we get home from the Coast.
I love old deserted homes....they are fun to sneak in and see what was left behind.

I just love looking at the old homes. Strolling at night and watching familes enjoy eachother through the lit glass.. it is so special.

Thank you for posting.
