Yet Another Project

I've started another project. I found a chair similar to this one at Big Lots. Yes, that's were I got it. It has brown wood and a taupe fabric. I decided to paint the trim of the chair and off white color and antique it a bit. The only thing is,  it does not have is the detail on the top.

I don't know why I don't do before and after photo's, lazy ? I guess. But it was a great find for $149.00. It's has the cushions already attached so it makes it harder to paint. Oh, who knows what I'll do next. I think the dining room table and chairs. I am just a redoing fool.

And you are having fun with it aren't you? I know you will have an amazing piece when you are done. Fool? No way. Decorating talent? YES!

Sue

Gee, I've never seen anything like that at our Big Lots. That is a beautiful chair. Can't wait to see it finished.

I say go for the dinning room set. It will give you a whole new look for only the cost of paint.

Joanne

Hi Glenda!
What a great chair! It will be fabulous painted. I have used a flat artists brush to paint next to fabric. You can also use a clean edge like a putty knife to protect the fabric as you paint that little section. I can't wait to see the final result!

Hi Glenda,
How are you going to do this one? I would love to see pictures as I'm not sure how (or if) I could go about something like that.

I keep thinking about driving to Big Lots - hmm, maybe I should give it a try???

I didn't make it to the Healdsburg Antique Faire, but glad you had a good time - I'm glad it wasn't hot for you.

Have a great weekend, can't wait to see how your chair turns out ;)

Glenda, the chair is going to be lovely when your done, I have an antique one in my garage that is all torn up and looks like trash! I rescued it from the Goodwill pile in Victoria's garage this past weekend! She had held on to it for 4 yrs. now it is my turn...maybe like you, I will paint the frame Heirloom White and fix it!!!! What do you think? Maybe we should have a post your chair before and afters marathon on the blogs????? Kind of a show and tell thingy...

OK, well hope your having a great week so far! I am trying to get ready for my garage sale tomorrow!

XO,
DL
