Can You Tell What I Like ?

You can tell I like Hydrangea's  it's the flower on my blog design. So, when I went into my local Pier 1, I saw this beauty. Now I am happy and sad at the same time. I am happy because I found it, but sad because it seems the Pier 1 I have been going to is a victim of the economy. Yes, it's closing it's doors later this month.

I also found a few other things, but this I just to share this with Y'all.

Your wreath is beautiful! I haven't heard that Pier 1 is closing. That is so sad. I wonder if they all are or just some of them. There's a Macy's by me that is closing and I find that very sad also. I'm going to have to go to Pier 1. They have beautiful things.

Hi Glenda! It's a beautiful wreath. I know, some of my favorite stores are closed now too. Can you believe Mervyn's is gone? I remember going there as a kid for school clothes! I like all you goodies you got thrifting recently. I never find anything close to that around here! And I read that you might be venturing toward S.J.? I am only 30 miles south of there! If you do/did find any good places in that town - let me know! We occasionally head up that way for the big malls that our town doesn't have. And I love that big chair that you got! It's a beauty! :) Thanks for stopping by yesterday to see the chair redo..glad you like it and thanks for the compliments! You are so sweet. Take care. ~ Laurie

Beautiful wreath. I have not heard if the Pier 1 stores here are going to survive - I guess I need to spend my gift card just in case. Did you get the chair you were going to look at on Craigslist? Did I miss your news on the outcome?

Glenda, I tried to find out if there were any published reports regarding how many Pier 1 stores were closing, but no luck. However, I did read some articles that talk about how poorly the chain is doing, unfortunately. Here's one of the articles.

On a happier note, that is a beautiful wreath.

Hi Glenda,
Your new wreath is very pretty. So do you have Spring fever like I do (even though it's not Spring) with this beautiful weather we're having?
Sorry to hear about Pier 1 - I used to love to shop there when I lived in the Bay Area.
Happy day sweetie!

What a beautiful wreath. I have one that is like that only it's made with pink and white flowers.

I had no idea Pier 1 was going under too. How sad!

Hugs,
Joanne

I love that wreath!!! I wonder if our Pier 1 is going under too. It's sad to drive by Mervyns and see and empty building!
