Interior Designer For The White House

Interior Designer, Michael S. Smith has been hired to decorate the family quarters for the White House. Can you imagine what that's like ? Can you imagine getting that phone call ?

From his site you can see it's going to be a beautiful place after he's completed the job.

He also, has a book(s), Elements Of Style and Homes.

How awesome that would be!! It will be fun to see what he does for them. That has to be the decorating job of his life!
Love the hydrangea wreath you found! It's so scary seeing branches of businesses closing. I hope things start changing. We've had 2 showings on our house this past weekend so maybe the real estate part is freeing up a bit. I hope!

Hi Glenda :)

His work is amazing! I hope he's ready for the task. There's a lot of tradition in those rooms.

I can't believe Pier 1 is closing it's doors! They've been around forever. So sad....

hugs,

What a fun job. I wonder what they will do to the White House for the Holidays. Will he go all out like in the past years? Or keep it simple like he says he does in his family.

I did hear that everything that belongs to the Bush family does not even start to get packed up or moved until President Bush leaves to go to the Capital. Then they move his things out and Obama in.

Talk about rushing around! It sure doesn't give them much time to change everything. But they have it down.
