I've Been Baking......

Yes I do bake. Not very often but I do.

I found this package of Apple Bread at Pier 1 a fews weeks back and thought why not. It's from a mix, and it takes sour cream and chunky applesauce in addition. It turned out yummy !

I left it in probably 5 minutes to long, it's good all the same. Well eat one and freeze the other for another time.

I think I got a whif of it from my house. Now I know you ain't fixin to gobble it up all by your lonesome...one for you one for Ricky? Slice me a slab and we'll do tea with my newest latest favoriteest new Bigelow Pumpkin Spice tea...it's the perfect accompaniment too. It's gettin cold here and our weather dude threatened us with snow warnings...ohhh can't wait. Guess I need to drag in the plants now!! fooey..

My pappy used to make us kids a concoction from a mess a apples him and his brothers used to jack from the neighbors orchard. Him and Bubba cooked it up in a copper kettle with a mess of tubing and gosh darn it it sho did stink but he swore it would make us smart as bait and we'd sleep good. Cept for the pond we ain't close to no big water out here honey so we ain't got any of them Pier 1's. Maybe I kin find a recipe for apple cake in my momma's cookbook she left me after she went to Jesus.
Take care honey & come visit me..
I gets lonely when my old man is on the interstate delivering turnips and corn and the kids gets lost comin home from the school house and sometimes I don't see em for days.
