All Thrift Store Baby...

I waited for months for the picture with the boy to get marked down. Can you believe it started out at $34.99 at a Thrift store !!!! They finally marked it down to $9-, which is what is should have been all along. The birdhouse .49¢, the little white basket $1.99, and the other frame for $4.99.

It still makes me mad that thrift stores have high prices. This it not new stuff people......

Beautiful finds Glenda! The bird house is really cute! I saw a great idea for sprucing up thrift store bird houses on another blog. You can paint it wit glitter paint and trim with pearls, etc., etc. I think it was Thrifty Miss Prissy (on my sidebar). She does a really nice job redoing things. I love the little boy picture!! Good job!!

Cute things you found. I know what you mean about the prices at the thrift stores. Pretty sad. Some of the things I've seen cost more then at the store. Or we now have thrift stores with "Boutique" rooms where anything that is old and nice gets marked up high. What do they think they are? They get this stuff for free and they act like they are an antique store. Makes me mad too.

Hugs,
Joanne

Hi Glenda,
Your finds are great. I don't understand that about "Thrift Stores" either - why the name if they're not thrifty? It's good you had patience and waited. I especially like the white bowl.
Happy day ~ I'm off to check your other blogs...

Hi Glenda,
I'm with you...the thrift stores get their stuff for FREE and then charge prices that can be more than NEW and/or antique store prices...How Dare They...Who Does their Pricing??? It bugs me and many times I don't buy things there..anyway, good treasures and good for you to wait for the right price.

Glenda, that collage frame is exquisite.

Is the thrift store that overprices things connected to a charity?

At the Salvation Army Thrift store I see some things (usually furniture) and wonder how they'll ever sell at such an unrealistic price.
