Thrifty Finds and My Mantel

These sweet little framed pictures look like their hand painted, but alas they aren't. I am thinking maybe I should paint them white with a little antiquing . What do you think ?

And the blue and white soap dish. Can you believe I got all of these for around $7.
I've never shown my mantel. It's got a lot of different things on it. The clock is a whined up chime clock, that I love to hear.  Chime clocks I could listen to anytime.

The runner I acquired from Victorian Trading Co.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Started working on the dresser. It's a bigger job then I like.

Hi Glenda!
Your mantle is beautiful! I love all the different things you have on it. The lace piece really sets the mood. I love chime clocks too, very comforting sound. Great finds, love those little pictures! You could paint them or leave them alone. It depends on where you want to use them. The frames look nice.
Have a great week!
Hugs, Sherry

Hi Glenda :)

Your mantle is beautifully done. I've been searching for a clock that chimes on ebay, but I keep getting outbid or they are WAY too much money to begin with.

well i think it is according to where you want to use them -- If your walls are white and you don't like the gold look, a green wash and antiqued may look well -- white may totally disappear - KATHY - gA

I love your mantel and the lace!! Well I can't believe the goodies you found! Those four floral pictures, I actually just came across one down in the garage that I must have picked up for some reason years and years ago, even though I was into primitive decorating then. I've also been toying with the idea of painting the frame white as it's gold right now. Love your blog!!...Donna
