Well I ended up at the Emergency Vet's this weekend. I did not leave until 3 AM. Why ?, my little angels decided to get into a snickers candy bar that I had forgotten in a bag of clothes on the floor. They had them throw up and drink char cole and then give them sub-q fluids. The little devils ate the entire snickers bar !. Now the little darlings are sleeping and I am awake.
I also, found out that dog's can't eat other things. Raisins, Onions, Garlic, Grapes, Coffee, Tea, and Chocolate. I already knew about the chocolate, but the other I did not know about. Don't you just love it ?
I do have to monitor them. The chocolate can effect their pancreas. Oh, boy !.
Well I will try to go to sleep now.

P.S. What did you mean about finding your blog through a search?? You mean our blogs can be googled?? Wow!
Glenda, that had to have been so scary! I knew about the chocolate, but did not know about the others! Thanks for the info.

Poor things! I didn't know about onions and garlic...I give Beau left overs and I'm sure he's had these. Now I know!! Thanks!
I didn't know about anything other than the chocolate either so thank you so much for the info. You do have a great blog, Glenda, and I love the name of it. I think I have to change my blog name. Probably would help if I blogged more too! :) Hope all is well now on your homefront!
Hope all is well now....
Have a great day, Glenda

Hi Glenda, I knew about the chocolate, but I did not know about the others. Hope you can rest and the pups get better. Thank you for the post and your name will be added for the giveaway on Sunday.
Have a Blessed Day,
Bonnie
Hi Glenda!
Oh you poor darling! Isn't incredible what our sweet little fluff balls put us through at times? I hope you finally got some rest!
Saw your son's photo on your sidebar and thought OMG he must be an actor! Very handsome guy!
Your finds from the other day are wonderful! Lucky girl!
Hugs, Sherry
OH NO! When I first saw the title of your post I thought "Oh good, a post on Chocolate and dogs. My two favorite things" then I saw what happened.
Poor little things. I hope and pray they will be ok.
I did know about all the food they are not allowed to eat. My one dog loves to eat EVERYTHING so I had a talk with my vet about what he can and can not have.
My guy has eaten chocolate before but didn't get sick. I think they really need to eat a lot of it or eat it often before it really causes damage to them. At least I hope so.
Be sure to keep us updated.
What a great mommy you are for taking them right away to the vets.
Hugs to you and get to bed early tonight.
Joanne
wow! i never knew dogs couldn't eat all those things! thanks!! Hope your rascals are okay now!
I'm so glad they're okay. Our pals sure keep us on our feet, don't they. Snickers? They probably just wanted the caramel part - didn't mean to eat the chocolate ;)
