The Most Dangerous Cake !!!!

The most dangerous cake recipe in the world. . .
5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well.
Add the egg and mix thoroughly.

Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).
And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world ?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

I have tried this and I  don't recommend having it without the chocolate chips. The chips will make it creamier, because with out it's a little dry. 

Rockefeller Christmas Tree

The man that gave Rockefeller Center it's tree this year, called it a "Miracle". It was planted in 1931 by his parents after they used it for a Christmas tree when they were younger. And his mother always said that it would someday be displayed in Rockefeller Center for the Christmas tree. The tree for this year is a Norway Spruce.

The original tree placed in Rockefeller Center was placed by workers building the center in 1931.  Officially they didn't light a tree until 1933.  The year 1931 had to be a coincidence for the first one and the one displayed this year.

I have never seen any of the trees in the center myself, but it has to be beautiful.

New Use For Old Things

Do you know what this is. Some may not. It may or may not be used much anymore. 

It's to hold diapers. I bought it some time ago. And when I first saw it, I knew exactly what I'd use it for. I use it to hold the pads for my girls to do their business on. It's perfect for them. It's the right size. I have it hanging over their area where they use their pad. They do go outside sometimes, but they prefer the pad, go figure. So if need to store your pads think about using one of these. They are probably easy to make.

SOLD !!!!!

Yes, that's right the house is SOLD. The buyer came up by $20 grand to buy it. They went back for a second time to make sure. They were thinking of buying another home, but opted to not purchase that house and purchase ours instead.  

So, a chapter in our lives is now closing. And sometime in the future, some other family will have memories to share. I am sure the house will be different in appearance some day and it's not to far away that I can't go buy and visit it from afar from time to time.

It's been a long haul for me. As the Executor of the Estate and doing all that was expected and then finally the house, it's an end to a lot of sleepless nights. 

Thanks to all that prayed about this and sending good thoughts out, it really helped. 

Life's A Roller Coaster !!!!!

All I can say is this is a Roller Coaster Ride. One of the bidders on the house backed out. His wife and him decided it's too much to take on right now. The first bidder is coming up little by little. So I am praying that this is the right person for the house. 

If for some reason it doesn't happen, then it was never meant to be. But I am still keeping the faith.

No news yet on the counter offer or the other investor. Hoping and praying for the best.

There was another surprise offer from out of the blue for more than the original offer, and there maybe a 3rd bidder that's an investor. So ya just never know..........

Christmas Trees !!!

These are all pretty in their own way. 

I usually just put up my fake tree and throw all my decoration on the tree. No I don't stand back and throw them, but you know what I mean..

We have an offer on my parents home, and I am going in today at 11:30 to talk to the Realtor. Now if my sister would only answer her dang phone. .............. !!!!!!!!!!

Got ahold of my sister so we could counter them back.  

Now the Realtor say's there is another interested party also an investor that's looking at it tomorrow and if interested could make an offer, so we may or may not have a second bidder. 

This could get exciting.....................

First Fire of the Season

It was soooooo cold this morning when I got up that I decided to start a fire in my fireplace. I refuse to turn the heater on. 

So I made some tea, and sat down next to the fire and the girls cuddled up and we enjoyed the first fire of the season.  It was awesome.........

Update On Parents Home

The latest news was today. The agent gave an Open House. She said about 15-20 groups came in to see the house, mostly investors wanting to get a deal. And the majority said it was way overpriced. Now this was after we had already reduced it by $50 thousand. But you have to understand, this house is a real fix it upper. My parents were not big on remodels not any other up dating so the house fell in to dis-repair. So, we have reduced it by $75 thousand. It's a big drop, but pure profit for myself and my sister, my parents owed zero on the house. 

You just have to be real about it and know your facing a lot of competition out there with houses that are in far better condition. I only pray that this will be the price the will get it sold and once and for all out of my hair. 

A Cozy Weekend

Re-wiring Lamps

These two lamps I purchased at Thrift Town the pair were $5.95 great buy.  I am re-wiring them so I can use them to change out lamps. 

And the use for the basket I bought a month ago. I bought some pumpkin candles at Raley's , see the white one under the glass ? They were all on sale for $1.99 ea.
